Roy B. Swallers

	Roy B. Swallers, 93, of DuQuoin, passed away at 7:25 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2001 at the Fair View Nursing Center in DuQuoin.
	Roy was a retired butcher at DuQuoin Packing Co. where he had worked 40 years.  He as a Protestant.
	He was born September 20, 1907 at Mulkeytown, the son of William and Addie (Boll) Swallers.  He married Lucille Wright on October 29, 1927 at DuQuoin.  She passed away October 25, 1965.
	 He is survived by two sons, Jim Swallers and wife Nila of DuQuoin, Bob Swallers and wife Betty of DuQuoin; five grandchildren, Dale Swallers, Steve Swallers and wife Cheryl, Rick Swallers, Rod Swallers, Robin Turrell and husband Greg; eight great-grandchildren, Rachael Swallers, Matthew B. Swallers, Heather Isaacs, Shane Swallers, Brant Swallers, Matthew A. Swallers, Nathan Turrell, Katie Turrell; three great-great-grandchildren, Zachery, Brocklyn, Kiara.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six brothers.
	Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Carl S. Mesiti officiating.
	Friends called from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in the Old  DuQuoin Cemetery at DuQuoin.
	Friends may make memorials to the Fair View Nursing Activity Fund or the American Heart Association.
